Providence Seaside Hospital has supported and partnered with Clatsop Economic Development Resources since it began its mission serving North Coast businesses through Clatsop Community College. The relationship continues to prove its worth. Most recently, our organization’s investment into the Clatsop Childcare Resource and Referral program which distributed
substantial grants directly to childcare providers in our community. The immediate increase in childcare slots proves this partnership results in positive outcomes and advocacy.
“CEDR is known as the ‘one stop’ business resource in Clatsop County,” said Rebecca Coplin, Chief Executive of Providence Seaside, “As one of the largest employers in South County, we know the economic impact of CEDR is crucial to a sustainable work force that goes beyond the walls of our hospital. Removing barriers to employment and supporting existing businesses impacts the overall health & well-being of our entire community.”
“Clatsop Economic Development Resource (CEDR) is an invaluable partner our community. Their dedication to fostering growth and attracting investments has elevated our members business landscape. Their strategic advocacy and unwavering information and education have empowered the business community to reach new heights and build a resilient, thriving economy.
CEDR has been an exceptionally valuable resource to our bank and clients that are existing and new clients that want to become bankable. Countless times, they have educated our small businesses in Clatsop County and made them a more successful business owner. Our small businesses would be lost without the expertise that is offered to them from the folks at CEDR/SBDC.
At the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce, serving our members properly means we have to address economic development every day. Having a strong and capable agency like CEDR in our community gives us the means and the information we need to do the job well. The fact that CEDR is so inclusive and includes engaged representation from every major
industry in our County just makes the work better and more effective. It’s not just a great model for rural economic development work, it’s professionally executed and highly effective. We are miles ahead of where we would be without CEDR.
